About Joe Giron

I am a Los Angeles/Orange County, CA-based photographer/photojournalist, who specializes in commercial and editorial photography. My freelance photography business was established in 1989.

Areas of expertise included the entertainment, music and gaming industries.

My work with musicians, film and television celebrities has been very diverse:

Location/studio portraiture

Concert/live event photography

Press/promotional/CD artwork sessions for record labels and management companies

Video shoot “production stills”

Corporate trade photography

 Retail merchandise/product endorsement work

I have also shot photojournalism-type assignments for various national & international publications.

In December 2005, I began photographing professional poker tournaments, gaming related assignments and casino/resort advertising & marketing assignments for various commercial and editorial clients.

From 1983-1988, I was a staff photographer for major daily newspapers in Dallas and Seattle.

I am versatile in all formats of digital cameras, as well as comfortable in the studio, on the set or on location.
